The number of stones depends on the number of participants. What material? - To give an overall Kotel effect try sheets of brown paper painted or marked out to look like the Kotel or brown hessian glued to card and framed with beading or low price cork bulletin boards. The area available for display will govern the eventual size and shape of your Jerusalem Wall. MOVING FORWARD Use a variety and combination of creative art forms to depict the various components of the theme. Consider a colour scheme. Here are some suggestions: Art Work Montage Collage Creative Writing Creative Embroidery Poetry Needle Craft Calligraphy Quilt Work Souvenirs Photography Painted Mural Decoupage REACHING THE GOAL Set the 'stones' in place onto the Kotel background to reflect the chosen theme and the participation of the community, school, youth club or cheder in a Jerusalem 3000 commemorative event. Make sure your display features prominently in the local newspaper. Invite local organisations and other schools/chadarim to view it.
