students. There are regular children's and youth services and shiurim (teaching
sessions) take place during the week and on Shabbat. An active Guild caters
the weekly kiddush provided by the shul as well as sponsored kiddushim and
other functions on request. A monthly newsletter, the Central News, is produced
providing information of interest to members and a Functions Committee and
Fundraising Committee organise social and fundraising events during the year.
The light and spacious Malcolm Locker Hall which comfortably seats up to 350
guests is an attractive venue for barmitzvahs and weddings, as well as communal
events. There is also a facility for meetings and smaller functions. The catering
arrangements in the on site milk and meat kitchens are under Rabbinic supervision.
The BJEB cheder classes are held on the synagogue site and the communal Mikvah
is also to be found here.
