Photographer David Katz has recently spent four months living Israel undertaking a unique photographic documentation of life in Israel.
David experienced the same day to day life that most ordinary Israelis live, in order to portray through his camera the ups and downs and the hopes and fears of a country coming into its 50th year. The photographs reflect that with all it's problems and difficulties Israel has still managed to make such an impact and difference.
These very emotive pictures will be displayed at Wembley giving a balanced and political insight into Israel, a country where events and circumstances are constantly changing.
David has captured real warmth through his photography and feelings for the country. This is reflected in his work with a developed understanding of Israel and all the people that live there. The viewer is left with an insight into what life is really like in Israel 50 years on.

The celebrations at Wembley will include an all-day youth programme, which will have as its focus area the Youth Zone on the first floor. The programme will involve any teenager who arrives on the day, whether from a youth movement or non-affiliated background, in a series of activities that they can take part in, in their own time.
It will work as follows: a teenager will arrive and register, either with their youth movement or another youth stall, situated in the Youth Zone. They will receive a youth guide, outlining all the activities that are being run. There will be eight different stations or activities that will be run continuously during the day. The participant will be able to take part in as many or as few as they wish. For each one they take part in, they fill in their details on a relevant form that will be included in their youth guide and hand it in to the station organiser.
The day will culminate in a magnificent ceremony in front of two thousand people, outlining the unique contribution of the Zionist Youth movements, and youth generally to the State of Israel. The 'incentive' to attend will be a grand prize which will be awarded from amongst all the forms submitted throughout the day.
There will be a series of lectures given by top academics, journalists and economists looking at a number of issues throughout the day.
Each lecture will last 30-40 minutes and there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience. One thousand people are estimated to attend the ten lectures throughout the day.
