The Community Development Department of the United Synagogue is delighted to have been involved in the production of this booklet.
On a day to day basis, we work with 65 United Synagogue communities on a variety of projects including cross-community events, training courses and social/educational programmes. We are the listening ear of the United Synagogue and provide for all ages, being open and inclusive to everyone. Students are an integral part of the United Synagogue "family". We are cognisant of your needs and our objective is to respond to them.
Part of our ongoing plan is to provide a dynamic framework relevant to your needs, both social and educational. The department is very keen to support Jewish students in any way that it can, an example of which is the set of discount cards that you will find enclosed. These enable you to claim various discounts at a number of Kosher food establishments in London and the Provinces. All you have to do is cut out the relevant card and present it with your student card to the manager/proprietor.
In order for us to service your needs effectively, we depend on hearing from you to tell us what you would like to see. We are always willing to try to give you what you want.
