Daf Hashavua daf-hashavua
The United Synagogue has
been publishing a weekly sedra sheet for the past several years. Originally
edited by Rabbi Isaac Bernstein ì"öæ, it is now edited by
Rev Bernd Koschland. Each week a different Rabbi from London or a provincial
community contributes and in addition many lay members have writen in the areas
of their expertise.
For the first few years it was available only in hard-copy chiefly in
London Synagogues.....
....Since Bereishit 5756 (October 1996) Daf Hashavua has also been
available via the Internet. Called 'daf-hashavua' it is sent out
weekly to people all over the world (via an e-mail list - which is delivered
direct to e-mail boxes).
Many of the recipients do not normally see it on a regular basis - thereby
extending the readership of the Daf. Whilst for those who normally daven at a
shul where the hard-copies are available, the electronic version means they can
continue to keep in touch whilst away.
